RESUMO

 O presente estudo foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de analisar a percepção de professores universitários de uma instituição de ensino privada (IES) do interior de Minas Gerais acerca do estresse ocupacional decorrente das mudanças nas relações de trabalho impostas pela pandemia de COVID-19. Para tal, metodologicamente, desenvolveu-se um estudo descritivo de abordagem qualitativa, baseando-se em um estudo de caso realizado em uma IES privada do interior do estado de Minas Gerais. Os dados foram coletados por meio da realização de 20 entrevistas com professores da instituição em questão e analisados por meio da análise de conteúdo temática. Entre os principais resultados da pesquisa, destaca-se que a experiência de adaptação do trabalho docente às exigências da pandemia gerou, nos profissionais investigados, a sensação de estresse, com a manifestação de sintomas de ordem física, cognitiva e emocional, como dificuldades com o sono, estresse mental, ansiedade, humor deprimido, alterações nos indicadores físicos, dificuldade de raciocínio e diversas dores, chegando. em alguns casos, a níveis mais altos de agravo e necessidade de intervenção médica e psicológica. No geral, os professores sentiram-se muito sobrecarregados, sob pressões oriundas da instituição e dos alunos, sendo cobrados pelo desempenho destes, com dificuldade de assimilar o home office à rotina de suas casas e sentindo-se muito inseguros quanto ao futuro. Acerca da percepção dos docentes em relação ao uso abusivo de tecnologias, durante a pandemia e sua associação aos processos de mercantilização da educação, apesar de considerarem, no geral, indispensável o uso das tecnologias no processo educacional e de verem com aprovação a forma como a instituição onde atuam disponibilizou tais recursos, existe o entendimento de que há precarização da educação e do trabalho docente pela forma como os mesmos vêm sendo aplicados à educação brasileira. Sendo assim, a pesquisa confirma a importância de investigar os aspectos e impactos gerados pela pandemia de COVID-19 na vida e no trabalho, compreendendo sua ocorrência como um fenômeno complexo, que atingiu as pessoas em muitas dimensões diferentes e oportunizando profundas mudanças na organização do trabalho.

ABSTRACT

 

The present study was developed with the objective of analyzing the perception of university professors from a private institution in the interior of Minas Gerais about the occupational stress resulting from the changes in work relationships imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. To this end, methodologically, a descriptive study with a qualitative approach was developed, based on a case study carried out in a private HEI in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais. Data were collected through 20 interviews with professors at the institution and question and analyzed through thematic content analysis. Among the main results of the research, it is highlighted that the experience of adapting teaching work to the demands of the pandemic, generated, in the investigated professionals, a feeling of stress, with the manifestation of physical, cognitive and emotional symptoms, such as difficulties with the sleep, mental stress, anxiety, depressed mood, changes in physical indicators, difficulty in reasoning and various pains, reaching, in some cases, higher levels of aggravation and the need for medical and psychological intervention. In general, the teachers felt very overloaded, under institutional pressures and by the students, being charged for their performance, with difficulty assimilating the Home Office to the routine of their homes and very insecure about the future. Regarding the perception of teachers in relation to the abusive use of technologies, during the pandemic and its association with the processes of commodification of education, although they generally consider the use of technologies in the educational process indispensable, and they see with approval the way in which the institution where they work made such resources available, there is an understanding that there is a precariousness of education and teaching work due to the way they have been applied to Brazilian education. Therefore, the research confirms the importance of investigating the aspects and impacts generated by the COVID-19 pandemic on life and work, understanding its occurrence as a complex phenomenon, which affected people in many different dimensions and providing opportunities for profound changes in the organization of the work. job.
