Título: TECNOLOGIA DE INFORMAÇÃO EM ALINHAMENTO À ESTRATEGIA DE NEGÓCIO: na visão de gestores das empresas participantes do IT Service Management Forum de Minas Gerais

Resumo: A Tecnologia da Informação (TI) é um recurso capaz de melhorar o desempenho organizacional. No entanto, as medições dos impactos de investimento em TI são de difícil verificação por parte das empresas. Reconhece-se um déficit de instrumentos para esta medição que ajude as organizações, definitivamente, a avaliar a relação entre desempenho organizacional, alinhamento estratégico de TI, governança de TI e governança corporativa em um dado segmento de mercado. A partir da teoria de análise de equações estruturais, um modelo que combina três pesquisas desenvolvidas pelos pesquisadores Ortiz (2003), Prybutok e Spink (1999) pode auxiliar nesta avaliação. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, a coleta dos dados e a definição do foco de estudo, tornou-se como referência a percepção de 109 gestores das empresas participantes do Local Interest Group (LIG) do IT Service Management Forum (ITSMF) de Minas Gerais. A análise dos dados coletados na pesquisa foi efetuada com a utilização da técnica de modelagem de equações estruturais, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). A coleta usou o instrumento desenvolvido na tese de doutorado de Ortiz (2003). Ademais, pode-se observar que a governança de TI possui um forte relacionamento com a estratégia de negócio, pois o valor do alinhamento é de 0,78. Já a estratégia do negócio apresenta um relacionamento de 0,50 com a performance do negócio conforme apresentado nos resultados.

Abstract: Information technology (IT) is a resource capable to improve the performance of the
organization. However, the measurements of the impacts of investment in IT are difficult to be verificated by the companies, despite literature in this area. Presenting a deficit of instruments for this measurement that helps the organizations to assess, definitively, the relationship between organizational performance, alignment of IT business, the governance of IT and Corporate Governance in a given segment of the market at the same time. By the theory of analysis of structural equation, a model that combines three research developed by researchers Ortiz (2003), Prybutok and Spink (1999), can help in this assessment. This work permeates the themes strategy, corporate governance, information technology and governance of IT. For development of the research, the collection of information and the definition of the focus of study, had as reference the managers of companies participating in the Local Interest Group (LIG) from Minas Gerais the IT Service Management Forum (ITSMF). The analysis of the data collected in the research was realized using the technique of structural equations modeling, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The collection used the instrument developed in the doctorship thesis of Ortiz (2003). Can be observed that the governance of IT has a strong relationship with the business strategy, therefore the value of the alignment is 0,78. Although the business strategy presents a relationship of 0,50 with the business  performance as presented in the results.
