Título: AMBIENTE E ESTRATÉGIAS ORGANIZACIONAIS: um estudo de caso em uma instituição particular de ensino

RESUMO: Nesse trabalho, foi estudada a Congregação do Verbo Divino, Colégio Arnaldo em Belo Horizonte. O objetivo foi identificar as fases vividas pela instituição, caracterizando o ambiente organizacional e as estratégias desenvolvidas pela organização. Isso foi feito com base na perspectiva teórica da Escola da Configuração, verificando-se diferentes estratégias da organização face às mudanças no ambiente organizacional, envolvendo tanto os efeitos das orientações da Igreja Católica como do setor de negócios educacionais. Do ponto de vista metodológico, foi feito um estudo de caso. Além de analisar um conjunto de documentos da organização, foram entrevistados dirigentes e ex-dirigentes, bem como integrantes da administração. Diante dos dados e evidências obtidos, foi feita uma análise de conteúdo. As mudanças na Igreja Católica foram pautadas pela orientação de documentos produzidos a partir de diferentes eventos: Conferência Episcopal de Medellín (1968) e a proposta da Teologia da Libertação, Documento de Puebla (1969), Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil (CNBB, 1992) e Documento de Santo Domingo (1992). Quanto ao setor de negócios educacionais, identifica-se que o colégio passou por mudanças também devido ao aumento da competitividade do setor, iniciando-se com os cursinhos pré-vestibulares e com a entrada de escolas secundárias no campo do ensino superior. Ao longo do período estudado, essas transformações do ambiente influenciaram nas estratégias da organização. O Projeto Pastoral Pedagógico foi o ponto de reflexão para a prática educativa verbita, verificando-se que a natureza religiosa da organização a confere a condição de organização missionária.

ABSTRACT: In this work, we studied the Congregation of Divine Word, Arnold School in Belo Horizonte. The goal was to identify the stages experienced by the institution, characterizing the organizational environment and the strategies developed by the organization. This was done based on the theoretical perspective of the school setting, verifying different strategies of the organization regarding changes in the organizational environment, involving both the effects of the guidelines of the Catholic Church as the business sector of education. From the methodological point of view, a case study was made. In addition to analyzing a set of documents the organization, leaders and former leaders and members of management were interviewed. From the data and evidence obtained, an analysis of content was done. Changes in the Catholic Church were guided by the guidance document produced from different events: the Episcopal Conference of Medellin (1968) and the proposal of liberation theology, Puebla (1969), National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB, 1992) Document and Santo Domingo (1992). As for business education sector, it identifies that the school also underwent changes due to increased competitiveness of the sector, starting with the pre-university preparatory courses and the entry of secondary schools in the field of higher education. Over the period studied, these transformations of the environment have influenced the strategies of the organization. Pastoral Teaching Project was the point of consideration to the educational practice SVD, verifying that the religious nature of the organization gives it the condition of missionary organization.
