Egress Profile

The Post-Graduation Program is organized to offer a training of excellence to egress students, which allows them to act in teaching, research and extension activities associated to the research lines, in academic management and, professionally, in the context of private, public or third sector organizations.

The Master must have the following skills:

  • Teaching performance capacity with advanced methodologies;
  • Research capacity;
  • Ability to reflect, relate and associate ideas and facts;
  • Ability to act interdisciplinarity;
  • Ability to apply scientific and operational methodologies;
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate organizational situations and problems;
  • Ability to prepare proposals and new ideas in the field of administration;
  • Ability to learn and manage organizational knowledge.

Notably, most of egress students (55%) work as professors and coordinators of undergraduate and graduate courses of business administration and related areas, in public (42%) and private institutions (48%) from metropolitan area of Belo Horizonte and other cities of the state of Minas Gerais. Thus, the master program has allowed students to become professors in higher education institutions, leading some of them, subsequently, to improve their education by means of doctoral courses. In addition, it is observed that 36% of egress students assume strategic positions in public and private companies where they worked before the master’s degree or assume new positions in the labor market. In this sense, the program has contributed to the dissemination of knowledge in both, the academic and organizational dimensions.
